So I recently installed a new gear reduction starter motor, and after I hooked up the battery and turned the key, nothing. Whoops, in my haste I forgot to hook up the main battery cable (which had fallen off to the side). So I disconnect the battery, hook up the battery cable and battery again, and now it starts up like a champ!

The problem is that the fan to my Propex hs2211 now runs continuously if it has power at all, and the thermostat doesn't respond at all Shocked . I'm wondering if the battery cable shorted on the frame of the vehicle when I tried cranking it, and fried the thermostat/controls for the propex?

I haven't had time to investigate further, but any ideas on how to proceed? Figured I'd start by sending an email to Propex, and maybe taking out the control unit/thermostat and see if there is an obvious blown fuse or burned component of some kind.
