I am going to rattle can the front beam for now and will do a major paint job in the future. Next post will be the IRS.

New ball joints installed, installed new beam seals. Going to take it apart and rattle can flat black.

IRS axle stub, asked a friend how the spacers should go! Bevel to Bevel.

Hate to hijack, just some pics for motivation. This is an original paint '59 a friend and I bought 8 years ago, he continued to put an IRS pan under it, made it a VW driver.

Hello Long-roofs,
No problem, my hopes are to share what I am doing to my project and get other excited in doing similar swaps. Actually I was thinking of a catchy name for Volkswagen /Renault Dauphine name. VOLKSRANULT? KAFERDAUPHINE?
That will be cool if we can open it up to all? Vw font is slightly different from Renault Dauphine, the French made more of a slant. |

Updated the suspension components.
Decided to clean up the beam and paint. |

Couple of passes of paint, some primer and then will remove steering box.
I will paint up the ball joint arms. |

Hello All,
Sorry for the long break but got some images coming.
I recently made a bug body dolly that can be stored away when not in use.
I can be taken apart and stored. 2" and 1 3/4 telescoping tubing. |
