I have searched all over for these and keep getting the NLA from all my internet sources. I have seen them from $7.00 to over $200.00 but still no longer available.
Anyone have a source?

It's just a resistor...here's how I spent $10 to replace mine for the dash blower: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=623382
FWIW, 86 & earlier AC used a resistor very similar to the Jeep model in my thread...I think djkeev has pics/documentation on that...???

Toyota pickups and 4 runners from 1984 to 1995 all use an indestructible blower fan resistor with similar impedance. The Jeep resistors are a known quantity.

^^^ Nice find! Downside of course, is that you have to tear into the cabinet next time it dies... 
I wish djkeev would post up his pic of the resistor pack on the early '86 system...easy to get at &
easy to change. (I tried looking for quite a while but didn't find it...cripes, he's got a lot of pictures!!!)

Meaning...good -or- no good...???
I went with Jeep because it was $10, available where I was and it fit...

did you ever find a source for these resistors? I'm having the identical issue to yours and cannot find anywhere to buy one of these.
