I was wondering if anyone made aftermarket replacement front seat frames. My driver seat frame is rusted beyond repair (by me) so I was wanting to see how much it would cost to just purchase a new seat. '76 westy

I've thought of that but if there was such a creature as a new one with new springs etc. that's the direction I'd prefer

I've got an early '76 can't use the later seats

My '76 also had the earlier rails and wouldn't work with Vanagon seats. But I was lucky enough to get the rails off a Vanagon and install them on mine. I'm very happy with the results, since driving 4 hours isn't a pain in the backside anymore.

| you do have the rails off the bottom of your broken seat that can be put on any seat you can find |

True but i've already purchased the pad and fabric to redo what i've got.

I was looking for the seat frame itself the parts the make up the actual seat, the base and back.
