The front chassis cross member was bent but solid with no rot, so I decided to save the German steel and straightened it using the dozer.

Then removed all the rot and replaced with new steel.

Progress update!!

I've been working every hour possible on this build so things are moving at a fast pace Very Happy

Lots of hammering and cutting out while the body is apart from the chassis.
As the bus is going to be left with its original paint and patina I'm leaving as much og metal on as I can.

They'll get fitted soon, I used the Ww corners as they were in stock and the fit is really good.

After loads of measuring and and getting the beaten body square on the chassis all the pillars were attached.

And a few more areas attended to like the rear tubs and rear quarter panels where they were hacked to remove the drivetrain.
