Does anyone know the correct fill capacity for the steering gear box on a 68-72 bay? Bentley says "add oil until the roller shaft is covered" when the box is in the bus. Looking at the exploded view in Bentley, I don't even see a part labeled "roller shaft", and I would like to fill it before I install it to make sure I don't have any obvious leaks (just refreshed the box using Amskeptic's great write up).

Not much! Perhaps a Pint! I will see if it's in the book.

Actually, just found it in the Autopress manual by Ken Ball. It says "fill with 1/2 pint (280 cc)." Sometimes having all these different manuals comes in handy.

Ok, Yeah, I did not see it in the Bentley.

Just a quick update, I just figured out that the Autopress manual reference to 1/2 pint is an imperial measure. For us US blokes, that converts to 9.5 US ounces (8 imperial). The 280 cc was correct.
