Baywindow front door reflector Different In years??

So I noticed my 73 camper was missing the drivers side front door square yellow reflector. The passenger side is there. The drivers side has no bondo and no sign of work. I see some bay windows on the Samba have two and some one. Dose anybody know why this is? My pal has a 72 Westy and both front reflectors on the door.
Any help would be great.

If it is US spec, then it would have one reflector on each front door. Look inside the door behind the panel to see if there were holes. There is also the remote possibility that the door was replaced with a non-US spec door, which might not have had the reflectors. I have two pickups that were this way, one from Ireland and one from Mexico. Neither have any side reflectors.
