I keep going for earlier parts on this thing
The round buttom off the lid is where it gone wrong if i had used the original flatter tip it would look modern
So now rear lights fenders etc etc are not super beetle period parts
Blades was the only thing i planned from the start
Still struggling with the top but will put everything on to see if the complete picture is good |

maximum vents i could fit in the airbox/watertray
and yes they are always used in the lid itself but late 60' prototype could have been different
found out i really drop the ball on the top was going for $$uper close to original
but i dont want to compromise the look with to top down and it being stacked up on the back 8inch high
it will be a simple thing you can throw in the back
still lightyears off welding to do most is just tacked in
plus side it is still all steel |

Must say the same!
I'm looking for this project for some time, has I and my father in law also have one similar project...
It's a 1300L from 1969, that was converted into a cabrio on the 90's...
I plan a fake hebmuller... and my biggest challange will be for sure, the rear lid... yours is a true inspiration! Do you have more photos? _________________ http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=538182 |

small stuff
coated inside off the decklid with sound deadening / heat resisting material
engine compartment closed up no more sharp edges
will coat it with the same stuff as the decklid
front bonnet cleaned and repaired fits good
first i also was going to remove the vent butt i put on a hood scoop backwards to make them less visible
there will be draft coming from everywhere so less air coming in should not be a problem
my karma is sub zero now cut up so much...
