If I got a chance to create my own I'd do a compressor/propane combination. Yes, I know the compressor ones are great especially if there is solar or adequate battery however having it run off a refillable weather independant fuel source would be cool...even if the propane could do most of the temp drop and the compressor just the stuff that's needed beyond the typical 30/40 deg drop from ambient that the propane can do. _________________ 83.5 Westy with Subaru 2.5, 4 spd manual, center seat, COLD A/C on 134a!, Winter camp heated with an Espar B4 gasoline furnace

Really just replying to stay in the loop for responses.
I am getting ready to start the interior rebuild on mine.
I have a 1980 P22 and it did not have a refrigerator or stove and I am looking to add the full kitchen experience to the new build (including adding the propane tank). _________________ ~WilsonsWesty~

Any new options? I've poked around didn't find much.. I just had the rust fixed from behind the old dometic and I'm wondering the wisdom of putting it back in there, even though my fridge works pretty well on propane.. wife asked if there was a new version rather than going whole hog on batteries, etc.
Thanks! _________________ 85 Westy with 91 2.1L |

I ended up finishing the restoration on mine and it is back in . . . I love the domestic and it appears to work really efficiently. There are probably better options, but I am sticking with the old girl. LOL _________________ ~WilsonsWesty~
