The latest van has come along far enough to post some pictures.

Here is what we started with. A well loved 2003 Eurovan Westfalia.

Lots of little dings, torn and patched top, poorly installed roof rack but otherwise a solid platform to reform.

We came up with a very fun plan for this van! The first thing to do was to strip it down!

....all the way

These are the two factory colors I repainted the van in.

To make this van durable for future travel and camping use all the "high wear" and easy to scratch areas were bed lined in color matched bedliner.

The rockers, the door sills, lower bumpers, rear bumper step, mirrors, poptop, door grab handles, seat bases, etc.

Euro dash cubby, new stereo with bluetooth (notice the flush mount mic in the buttons?)

This Goal Zero Yeti 400 will replace the house battery and be mounted under the rear seat. It will run off the van and solar and power an Engel 45 fridge. The front two seat bases are being lowered an inch and swivels mounted to them. (so the house battery will no longer fit there).

Solar panel just sitting on the roof.

The new flooring installed. HD UV resistant anti microbial flooring.

It looks sooooooooo good man! It's a coca-cola and vanilla float - and it looks delicious.

I'm always skeptical about the two-tone look -- but I think you really found the sweet spot to cut it. Awesome.

Thanks everyone.

This one has been fun to build. Can't wait to get the interior back and see it all come together

Any chance the old seat upholstery for the back bench is available ($) - or does that get ripped apart to pattern out the new covers?

I'm sure it was ripped apart to make patterns.

Whats wrong with your rear seat? (I've got 3-4 1993 rear seats sitting here)

Too bad for me you didn't skin a 93 to get the pattern!

I'm installing a bench/bed from an early van into a '02 GLS -- and want to match the fabrics. The bottom seat is usable -- but haven't figured a way to use the GLS bench back (w/armrests). I know it makes for a lumpy bed - but I thought it would be nice to keep.

You should sell custom seat covers! All that work to determine the patterns -- for one van? Economy of scale.
