Hello all, have a question I have a nice street legal sandrail with a 2100 cc engine. When I start it the oil light stays on and my voltage gauge only reads around 10 amps but as soon as I give it some gas it goes off and the gauge Reads about 13 and it stays that way even at idle or driving but if I shut it off and restart it the light and gauge does it again? Any ideas would be appreciated

Are you sure it's the oil light, or the generator/alternator light? I'm going to assume you have an alternator installed. It is not unusual for the alternator to need a little blip of the throttle to get the RPM's up high enough to get the charging circuit started. Once it starts producing good voltage, it should be good to go until you shut the engine off again.
