L-518 Java Green is a '67 color and a natural compliment to red... Just sayin'

No I really want to do a stock color combination. I like bugs that people do custom things to, but I'm more of a stock guy. Whatever combos the technical section lists is what I would do. They list Fontana grey, black, and lotus white with having red interiors. I don't think Fontana grey was a U.S. Color. I'm going to be replacing the floors soon, then the heater channels, then it's paint time Shocked I'll have to make my decision soon. Also an off topic question with the heater channels, how do I take the sliding door tracks off of the originals for the repros. I know WW sells the spring clip but not the track.

I love those greenish with red interior combos. Is there any web site where where all the colors VW combined with red interior are compiled? We all know they did black and white cars with red interior, but there where other combos too.

Over the years I've seen maybe 5x as many non-black stock '67 Beetles than black at the big CT VW meets. Primered black rat Beetles don't count.

Take a look at this '66; just ignore the incorrectly painted wheels. IMO the red interior with black looks sharp. If you add narrow-width WW tires to your '67 it'd look really classy in black. I agree it looks sharp. I'm thinking of doing 1 inch whitewall Firestone bias plys from Coker. I think I'll pick black based on the rarity, originality, and it looks good with the red interior.
