Bought my car home last Saturday and it now begins.Going to start at the front and work my way back.The 7 inch TV I bought has an SD card to record.Made an ally bracket to hold the camera behind the mirror.The fibreglass mudguards have to have all the holes drilled.

I might have F'd up with the wheels.I cant take any more out of the beam.It's just touching the body,and will need a slight massage.The front wheels are 8 inch and reckon they will be a problem when the airbags are let down.May have to buy 7 inch rims.I have the suspension fully jacked up all round and solid bar where the shocks go.So it will sink a long way.

Cleaned up some front bumper irons and welded a 10mm ID tube on the bottom to get the fog light wires into the front apron area.Also had the 4 stands I made to support the new seats and the ally bonnet hinges powder coated gloss black.I cut a section from a donor door to weld into my doors to give a second skin where the mirrors mount.I didn't do this on my Oval and they vibrate slightly when driving.I have put the 5mm rivet nuts thru both skins and they are very firm now.Also have fitted rivet nuts now to both doors to fit my polycabonate wind deflectors.Trial fitted my NOS Hella Semaphore replacements.

Seat brackets look strong as hell. Very kool semaphore lights. Keep pounding, we are watching!😀

had a go tonight to make the short stainless side body trim for the new short B pillar.Very happy with how the first one went.

Excellent stainless work. Never heard of someone just heading out one night and doing it. Dash and roof are excellent.

To be fair-the front door of my house is about 5 paces from the entry door to my shed.We bought the place to run an Antique shop in 1996.There was a 60x80 foot shop with a 90x30 foot shed at the back.There was enough room left for me to put a 3 bedroom Transportable House as well.Job done.The pic of my house front door and the shed door were taken from the same spot.We closed the shop in 2007 and I just do my cars in the shed.Luckily,the front doors of the shop are wide enough to drive VW's thru them.Sometimes I am pursuaded to help others out.Like the 63 Falcon on the hoist.Started as just weld a chassis in so it can have a V8 transplant.Well my job now is to get it to the driving stage.I wanted it gone before my car came back.

nice to see so much own design go into a one off build.

Nice build and I like the detail you put into it.

At a combined load of 10000lb I am sure you will be ok.

You can always add Coil-overs as assistance should you need to.

This parcel tray was actually the first one I made for my Oval years ago.Decided it wasn't deep enough.Made another 40mm wider,so even closer to the legs.I figured with really good seat belts,take a chance.Would probably be more afraid of the steering wheels during an accident.The only negative about the air bags is the position.I think they are too close to the suspension arm pivot,so will need a lot more effort to lift the car.May even give a harsher ride.If it is a problem,I could purchase another pair of the air shocks they supplied for the front.Plumb them on a separate air system.I can't believe I never thought about the chrome wheel centres for cup holders.Been racking my brain for 12 monthe trying to figure what I could use.I am going to make an ally centre console which will sweep up to sit under the parcel tray.It will have all the air valve switches and the 2 air pressure guages.Will try to adapt the 2 75mm chrome centre caps I just bought from Ebay.Thanks so much for the clue.

I knew when I decided to put a 7 inch screen in the centre of the dash-that wipers would be an issue.Addressed that last week.I knew that it would be a major rework.Ended up having to move the wiper motor nearly 5 inches to the passenger side and lower it 1.5 inches.Bought a 12volt replacement armature,but it spun way too fast.Ended up using a motor from a Super bug and only using the slow speed.Took a lot of work to get all the arms modified and swinging in the correct arc.It works a treat.
