Pretty slowly. I cut the egr mess out of the air plenum, welded it back up and had it powder coated. I'll likely get to it this summer.

That's awesome!
Where abouts in CO are you?
I wouldn't mind picking your brain about camping in the bus, as we have a travel trailer too, but I'm looking forward to going out in my '78 this year.
Of course it's not nearly as pretty as yours, great work.

Traded the grey seats for beige. I lost the adjustable arm rests, but the color is much better.
At least two perfectly comfortable bed options to select from and he chooses the floor. Lol.

Updates!
Here's hanging out with some buddies at vws on the green
Met some nice folks on the road.
Somehow this happened. Must have been a rock?
And.... we painted Ryan's bus.
Went camping with some friends.
Vws at the Royal Gorge.

Interior projects:
Installed my CB radio in prep for the Durango off-road adventure.
Modified an old console with cup holders.
Built a little foot box.
Remove the door and it fits my tool box.

Built a trailer hitch. I used a piece of 2" square tubing and a 1/4 inch plate. The hitch, I cut from my early bay hitch that I made earlier.
For a sturdier base, I cut the tie-down section off of another bracket and welded it to my bracket. This widened the surface face where the tube is welded.
Test fit
Welding up - a little messy, but good enough for me.
Painting
The plate is bolted to the tube for easy removal of the receiver. This way when I'm not using it, it's not sticking out to jump out and whack me in the shin!
I think eventually I'll tie it to the mustache bar, though it's incredibly sturdy as-is.
