2.1 coolant system swap

Planning to purchase a new engine in the spring and have an 86 with an all new coolant system. I was curious what the thoughts were on. putting in a 1.9 sans the coolant loop would this work? is the loop necessary if bled correctly?

Don't try and re-engineer the cooling system.

Take it out.
See how it goes.
