Our 74 Red ASI camper was stolen from our storage garage in Hesperia some time in the last month.
The old Washington plates were still on it and are not current registered. It has the ASI camper interior, some minor rust, and a sub hatch.
They also stole a 72 blue panel with Vespa logo, brown tow dolly, an aluminum Triton trailer, and the Red Wagon cycle camp trailer.
If seen please contact the police where ever you are and advise them. For more information email us at [email protected].
Good news is we got the double cab back.

--- 25 Sep 16 --- Found abandoned in the middle of the street 5 miles from where it was stolen. Neighbors finally called it in. Officer was a VW fan and is on the hunt for the panel. They think they know who had this camper. We have not heard much but detectives involved and the gang unit? Looks like joy-riders more than VW bus people. |

I think the crooks panicked & thought that they will easily be spotted in the freeway 15 which goes north and south. If they go through the small roads off of 15 freeway, escape becomes even harder because it goes through open desert. With limited options of escape, I am guessing the crooks bailed out.
I am happy that the bus was returned to its owner. I don't see a lot of that happening nowadays. _________________ 1966 Riviera camper Bus
