I've always been told that there was 5 1952 trucks I believe I've only seen three of them does anybody have pictures of a 52 truck other than these three..

Hi Brian I counted 8 on the registry but no idea what kind of condition they are in, cpl of pics there too...

No I don't remember.
While looking for the info I found it might be a january 53 though, in this case sorry for the mistake ! I had in mind it was a very late 52 Embarassed

Edit : indeed it is jan 53.

Here in the form topic there was the build of this smooth gate according to the bundle registry it shows that it's a December 1952

Brian. there are several registered without pictures. I was checking all the trucks on BD.dk when I got mine.

I think the last one is Jesper's which unfortunately has been wrecked.
Take into consideration that no truck really is a '1952' 'model', since they were built from October 52. I know that the earlier ones still have piano hinge vent windows aso, but could be thought of 1953 model year cars.

That would explain it.

I think it has a 52 engine? Maybe thats how I was mistaken

Why wouldn't they be considered a real 52 truck? If they were born in 52 that makes them a 52. VW didn't start using Aug of the manufacture year as the start of the following years model run until 55.

BTW, isn't the Karmamn Konnection smooth gate a 52?
