Progress on my "sweep the floor" 1600 continues...
sorta.
I've got a set of new bearings in my parts stash that i THINK are suitable for this project- however, comparing them to the bearings that came out of the engine, I'm not sure. the center main bearing halves are what worry me- the bearing halves that came out of the engine have the oil groove on the backside- the new ones have the oil groove on the front(between bearing and crank). I'd love to use these bearings as i have them on hand. The engine in question is an H case, and the new bearings in question are Karl Schmidt bearings, if that helps. any thoughts or opinions out there?
