Thanks guys! It's really motivational to know that people are watching this project and finding it interesting.
Here's a few nice shots from the past...

Wow! It is very exciting to see a Sunroof Bus that is so early.
M-code 54 is:
Full width dashboard (until March '55)
I see you have this option - very cool!
M54 - Lockable glove box lid is for a Bay Window Bus.
I don't know why the VW birth certificate always make strange mistakes like this. |
Everett, thanks for the info! |

Hi, novetti! Yes, the 25 hp engine needs to be revised and the gearbox is already installed. |

Hi,
Your bus is absolutely stunning, no words.
We just know the pictures of other South American busses, but this one looks quite original for its age and your restoration looks well too
You have the original engine for your bus?

I haven't seen the inside details of a standard bus with a sunroof built before february 53 (prior to when the proper sunroof pressings were introduced), I've only seen deluxe buses.
Did you have any photos of any other pre 53 sunroof buses to help you with the repairs?
Such a cool bus!! _________________

Hallo, Jan!
Unfortunately I couldn´t find the "original" engine. But according to old records I discovered the original engine number: 20-0340270. If anyone finds this engine somewhere...

Hi, Scotty!
Repairs and final painting has already been made. The structure and sunroof pressings had a lot of rust and corrosion, but I found good original references for the repairs.
Sorry... I am gradually posting the photos to keep the work chronology. But take a look at a preview:

This stands out to me and just feel it should be brought up in case it was overlooked before it's too late...if it's not too late already but the upper portion of the windshield surround, looks like it was modified using a later post BD donor? It should be longer like the earlier photo
Very cool bus, look forward to the updates

Eagle eyes! I had not realized when the repair was made. I intend to fix for sure, but only in the near future, because the painting is done and I have already started the assembly stage. Thank you for your note |
