Amazing bus - great save! I love that is still has so many of the original parts on it. I look forward to seeing it all coming together.

Thanks for starting a thread.

Here are a small sample of the original upholstery found in the bus. Black material with brown piping:

And a small sample of the original headliner. Wear and dirt, so I donīt know what is the right color/tonality...

Hi. Would the window surround difference affect what size glass would fit for this bus? Or is all front glass the same on split buses, and its just a matter of the positioning of the hole as related to where the hole sits on the face of the vehicle. If that makes sense to you.
Just curious.

Hi My57Oval. Good question. My bus came without some of the side glasses and without the front ones. So I had to order glasses according to the size.

Barndoor windscreens are not as tall as later buses. So yes, it does make a difference

Here is how I fixed mine. The window is 15mm shorter. You need to change it to fit barndoor glass or safaris.

Yeah... I am not sure how the #'s actually work.. always seems like there are way more Engine #'s then there are Busses made each month

My Engine is of course a Turnkey Running Engine that is 99% Original and Complete, I think the only thing not correct is the K manifold... has a later one like most 25's .

Not sure HOW it got in the bus being a year later then Production... and my Trans is also a later BUT full crash trans... as my Father always says.... If only they could speak . Have not looked at the Trans # but I am pretty sure is later with NO Sidefill like my Jan.'53 Deluxe but is still Full Crash
