I was running some informal engine and gearbox tests on a road nearby and it ended up calling the attention of an unknown guy who captured the moment.

I received the photos hours later in a whatsapp group Cool

That must be a great feeling to be out on the road in it - to then get some photos of the event must be great too.

Enjoy the fruits of your hard work = it is a very lovely bus indeed!

Although the restoration process is not completed yet, I drove my Barndoor this weekend covering a distance of 45 km towards a town nearby (Pomerode), where a VW Event was taking place. It was an unforgettable ride, the first event of many to come Very Happy

Yes, was the oldest. With the presence of a 53 Zwitter and a 54 Oval. About being the best, I can't say Wink

Sensacional!!

Congratulations! Simply amazing the level of restoration! Thank you for sharing the details of the project, it is something that should remain for posterity as a way of consulting. Is she going to stay here in Brazil? It would be a model that should attend the best events of the country. Sensational!!

Since the van is already part of my family, I have no plans to sell it. I still want to have good times with the bus Cool

Hi, mandraks!
I live in a region in the south of the country, where German colonization was quite strong. The pic you ask was taken in a city called Blumenau. That is 30 kilometers from another small town called Pomerode, known here in my country as "the most German city of Brazil". The pic below was taken in Pomerode:
