Another gearbox ID please

I’m having trouble dating this box. Pretty sure it’s Barndoor but this casing dates look like 65 and 55. KD is factory rebuilt I believe. What do you think?

You have good clear pictures of the numbers, but not of anything that would identify it as a barndoor transmission.

By the date codes, it was built at least half a year after the last barndoor rolled off the assembly line.

What do the impressions for the saddle mounts look like? U shaped or round?
What does the nose cone look like?
What do the ends of the axles look like?

Ah. It came with barndoor reduction boxes. Now fitted with KDF boxes. I guess the cases are all the same?
