April 19, 1995 The Oklahoma City bombing. This is the 25th. anniversary of this terrible crime and the services had to be held remotely due to the COVID 19 emergency. May we all say a silent prayer for all the people this tragedy still effects all these years later. |

Nineteenth of April, 1775, saw the two opening battles of the American Revolution at Concord and Lexington.
On this day in 1943 the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising started as well. _________________ 1960 Ragtop w/Semaphores "Inga" |

The devastation that Poland took in WWII is one of those areas in history that is often neglected with the stories of the Victors and the Evil Losers getting top billing.
The German Army was about 10% mechanized, much less than the French and English. Not what I was taught. _________________ .ssS! |

While they might not have been as mechanized, the German troops were “meth-anized”. None of the opposing forces were prepared for the speed & non-stop push forward.

Maybe where you live but I grew up in a time of pop tops, people were still burning trash or throwing into a ravine. Some outhouses still in use. Used motor oil dumped or spilled onto the ground without regard because nobody cared, no EPA. Great Lakes so polluted we had massive fish kills. Cuyahoga River on fire. So from where I’m standing it’s gotten cleaner.
Offshoring waste? Oh ya I helped dump bags of trash mostly plastic and oil waste from a Navy ship back in the 70s. Who’s gonna say we can’t? We are the govt. |
