Christmas Day 1914 the soldiers fighting in the trenches WW1 declare a truce and celebrate the day together singing songs and sharing a meal. They went back to killing each other soon after. The next year they didn’t take a day off.

And some have fallen by the wayside like [email protected], I think it turned into a Facebook page that was 1990s. Very Happy No pics all text. More than a couple of pups reading this weren’t even born yet.

1933 Construction starts on the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. During the height of The Great Depression men came from all over in hopes of getting a job there, my grandad was one of them.

1975 Wheel of Fortune debuts with Pat Sajack and Vanna White. I don’t remember that but what I do remember is Vanna did a photo shoot for Playboy magazine. So I googled that and sure enough the pics are out there. Cusser are you listening? 😀

1945 Auschwitz concentration camp is liberated. During the concentration camps existence it is believed up to 1 million Jews were murdered ,75,000 Poles, 21,000 Gypsies, and 15,000 Soviet POWs. We wonder how fucked up peoples thinking can get? Here’s your clue.

10 years ago my friend, Sue was diagnosed with a glioblastomer.... brain cancer. After 5 years of surgeries, chemo and intense fighting, she passed.

All too soon.

1986 space shuttle challenger exploded. I was under a 63 vw bus changing transaxle. Heard almost immediately because we had radio on in the shop.
