Great photos. Your car looks great...as usual. perfect.
Any chance you can provide the length of the Talbot mirrors base? I like them very much but need to know if they are long enough to cover holes from my old baby tornado holes.
Did they need any modification to make them functional?
Thanks. |

I also have Talbot style mirrors and did not have any problem covering the standard holes for the driver's (left) side mirrors. It's however a different matter on the passenger(right) side as I had to angle it enough for the mirror to be usable sight wise. One hole will not be usable to make the adjustment and I had to drill another. I just plugged the "extra" hole and touched it up.
Nice photo shoot!! _________________ "Sometimes people forget they signed up to a HELP & SHARE Forum not a pissing contest"

Rick!
Man you should have called. Homebush is just a few minutes from my place. We could have had a foursome!
Love the staged shots and your play with colour balance. We should get the Ghia's together

I think that would be a photographic treat _________________ Jesse

hey guys thanks for the comments, no additional lighting John, i did take my speedlights but kept them in the bag, i just made the most of the tunnel lights and slow shutters speeds at low iso and adjusted white balance to suit the lights
was a last minute thing Nicholas. we left Homebush at about 2 am but next time for sure, I didn't realize your Ghia was on the road already.. I haven't really been on the forums much lately.
Myghiarocks.. i will check on the length of the mirrorbase, i did also modify the mirror stems angle to push the mirror more upright so i could see out of then, with the passenger mirror you can modify where the rod limits the mirrors angle to get it to move around more giving you a better view out of it, however the base modification is what helped the most |

Thanks Rick. Will look for the measurements later. Can you elaborate on what you did to the base to modify it?

Photos look great Rick, you sure do have a talent for capturing beautiful shots of your ghia and making ordinary streetscapes look ultra cool, new career maybe. Keep em coming |

I did black & white instead.

Great photo, if I may say so, higlighting the subtle lines and curves of the Ghia when the eye is not distracted by colour.
