Hi all
I just bought dual port 1600cc and need start the engine outside from the car. I want to check compressor, oil leak....ecr before I tear down engine
Anyone know or do home made stand tester?

A 3 rib bus bell housing will let you attach a starter. Gravity feed gas tank and a battery should let you run it on the floor.

You mean that bell housing from
Bus can fit to our Bug? And the engine can sit on the floor? Don't really need stand?

You can cut the bell housing off a t1 trans and build your own.
Or maybe try and borrow one.
Oh, do yourself a favor and put it on a table so you can work upright.

here is one we built from an old Transaxle .

battery is connected, gas from gas can fed to steel fuel line, remote starter button.

engine sitting on a 4 wheel Dolly running on the floor
