You can check the resistance of the injectors (check Bentley) might confirm an issue before tearing everything down.

Not on the AAF engine anyway. I did the injector seals last year and it wasn't too bad to get at. Hardest part was getting the hoses off the fuel manifold.

Id do the injectors. Its a bitch to get at them. You can rebuild, but if keeping for long term, just replace them all. If there are some decent used ones you pull out, maybe could sell them used to recoup the $1000 out the door

plugs look good.

Original wires were a bit beat. Replacements are perfecto!

Don't trust OBD codes for misfires. Confirm by pulling wire , coils, and plug inspection.

To check for intake leaks spray something like parts cleaner around where the intake meets the head and listen for a change in RPM. Don't blow yourself up. A leak may not be very likely but worth checking for anyway.

Compression test all cylinders before messing with injectors. You can borrow a tester from some parts places.

Ok... so to answer the questions above:

I know it is cylinder 5 from OBD.

I did not try swapping wires, instead I replaced with the new set and have the same error code.

Have not performed compression test.

Intake leak is interesting thing to check... how to check that?

Injector swap? Isn't it quite a bit of labor to get in there? Should I just replace with new? and do all the other while I am there?

Compression test? Injector swap? Intake gasket leak at that cylinder?

i know it sound stupid, but have you tried swapping your new cables around just to make sure to see if the misfire follows a component?

i know they are new cables and plugs and all that, but even new stuff can be crappy out of the box. I've had enough crap cables in the last year to at least say you've got a chance of that being the case....

How do you know it's 5? Visual, inspection, or OBD?
