it's probably light weight too for some of your/our over expected needs..
the paint will likely chip in the 2nd year too..
there are bigger, stronger units out there.
but then again it's $105 delivered.. so ya get what you don't pay for..

I have one, they are made by Curt. I haven't used it on the van yet. Its not bad, but don't count on loading it with bags of Quikrete...

I finally got around to installing this unit on my EV. I chose not to use the plastic nuts they included for the attachments to the rack, and instead used Nylocs I had around the shop. These might be easier to install on Thule racks than Yakimas, as the the threaded strap doesn't leave many threads exposed when attempting to install on Yakima bars.

I've had this rack (extended version) on my van for about a year. I also bought it on sale. It's not bad, but as others have said, it's not THAT strong.

I have a roof top box next to the rack and stand in the rack to unload my box. The rails do flex with my 180lbs in the rack.

Generally very happy with the quality fit and finish for what it cost. It definitely does the job.

I have that hitch carrier and it's 'ok' so tow of them bolted together will be twice as 'ok'.
I'd rate this cabela's rack/basket as 'ok' as well. at the sale price it was a great deal . but I see it's now back to $149 (as of 10/13/16) with $5/shipping deal. so not as good as posted earlier.
