I have read about the split manifold boots and some say they are no good while others say they have good results. Would putting a little black silicone where they join be a good thing? Pictures show where they join is made like puzzle pieces and that should make them seal good. It looks like a little silicone there would be like wearing both a belt and a pair of suspenders. |

try it and see, some having luck with the split boot and some have luck gooping them up to work. _________________ Rick

I had them on for 2 years with no issue. I didn't use any silicon.
It was originally a temporary fix until I got time to put on stock boots, but since they were working I just left them on until I had time to put on stock ones.
I've since replaced them but I would use them again if I needed to make a quick fix |
