This is fake, right? It's circulating my interwebs, but I can't find any other images of this supposed conversion...

It'd be a little difficult to install the upper front door glass assembly without having a door to open. _________________ 1957 Dove Blue DD Panel (OG paint) |

what exactly would one gain from this type of conversion? A lot of extra overhead with not any real extra space. A stock sized bus does it all, and fits into a normal parking space.
very well done drawing though. _________________ .

1. It would make more sense if it was a dcab then a scab
2. With the placement of the trailer wheels in that position would make so much tongue weight the scab would just do wheelies
3. Why wouldn't the trailer be made into a camper set-up? What's the point in it just having seats back there? It's illegal in most states to ride in a trailer
It's a cool fantasy drawing but would be a nightmare/waste in reality _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

They should start a thread, " How to lower a 5th wheel and all 5th wheel lowering questions".
Will the real artist please stand up? |

The fifth wheel is in front of the s-cab's drive wheels, so no wheelies even with a tongue weight of a thousand pounds. That's the whole point of a fifth-wheel setup. Transfer as much weight as possible from the towed vehicle to where the towing vehicle's brakes and steering wheels can affect it.
This imaginary trailer filled with people will outweigh the s-cab by quite a bit, causing it to go straight when the towing vehicle turns, pushing the rear wheels of the towing vehicle sideways. Putting its weight on the s-cab makes the towing vehicle weigh enough to pull the towed vehicle safely around corners. I'd still want air brakes on the trailer wheels. |

In the drawing yes you are correct but i was talking about if this was actually made
Look at the scab in the pic closely it is completely off scale to be a real working truck
Where the hell is the engine at with the wheels so far back? Is it a mid-mounted engine?
If not the hitch would actually be sitting over the eninge not the wheels like the drawing
Like i said it's a cool drawing but wouldn't work out in reality _________________ '60 15 window walkthrough

Perhaps the transmission mounting yoke is still in place and the engine is sticking out in the shadowed area behind the bumper ends?
Interesting placement of the ventilation slots.
Nice fantasy, but not workable.
Maybe the rear bus has the drive train and pushes the front bus? |
