Yes, that's right Scott. Yet another authenticity detail.

I'm rebuilding the Nautilus' wiper frame assembly right now and found a point of interest in the Blue Bentley regarding wiper shaft and bearing replacements. In '65, VW had SWF make the shafts and bearings a little longer, apparently to give the wiper arms a little more leverage against the windshield. This change also moved the wiper motor and frame towards the rear of the car a bit, which then caused the early Type 3 wiper frame to hit the back of the Type 34 fresh air controls. This necessitated a new Type 34 wiper frame with a sort of 'bended up' section that clears the fresh air controls. I found a new style frame in my stash of spares, so I'm all set once I get it cleaned up and painted.

I love the Type 34, but it's stuff like this that starts to pile on and makes me question my sanity.

We are all insane. Someone may take pity on us and call it addiction. Laughing

Like Pedro doesn't have anything better to do than make another T34, Rolling Eyes

It's good to see a supplier willing to work with their customers. The end product makes a big difference when this happens, and those look great. Very nice, and they look so much better than the "old" style mats. Nice job. Cool

They are real nice at Cocomats.com. I have bought three sets from the years. The owner used to live in my berg of Los Osos at one time before he moved east.
On my Cherry Red car I went with Black and silver. Looks great.

You got a problem with repetition? That sounds -ist, somehow. Guess it would depend what sort of -ist das ist.
