My dog keeps me company while we're working on our bus, does that count? No kids yet, but we too better have a son...

LOL- He looks like he's a big help Anthony. I'll have to get my 5 yr. old out to lend me a hand when the beam arrives. I would say my 11 yr.old is useful, but he has never been one to actually spend time helping. I remember when he was 5 or 6 he wanted to "help" wash the cars. About 5 mins. would pass and he would get "tired". Unlike the 5 yr. old now who will help wash the entire Jeep in the middle of 90% weather and has Asthema. Must be that the oldest inherited the "Lazy-Gene" from his biological father. Rolling Eyes

My daughter told me last night she wants a bus like mine when she gets older. I told her she could have mine (69 camper not the 59) and she gave me a dirty look. Laughing

The Plan is when my son is a little older say 12-14yrs old to buy a project bus and hook it up. Not telling him that it would be his Graduation Present. Or tell him you help me restore a 21 or 23 window and you can have my 63 Walk Thru something along them lines. Blake is really good with tools. He picks things up quickly too. I broke all the nuts loose and he took them the rest the way off. Cool

That's Cecilia my 2-year-old getting a feel from the driver seat. It's funny that now I looked for her pic in the splitty's driver seat and realized I haven't introduced it to her officially. Maybe subconsciously I am protecting that spot for myself, being a selfish milage ho and all.

My boy Miles at 9 weeks can only sport bus onesies at the moment. I'll make sure he receives proper training though - maybe we'll color the Bentley with crayons when he's there.

Yep!
That's my son, Rain, 9 years old hangin' out on the '67 Westy in my avatar. He likes to "help" from time to time.
My daughter, Kaya is 10 and she offers no help... but is encouraging.
They both love the Bus and the '65 bug. Last week at my son's birthday party he and about 6 other 9 year old boys climbed in my '65 camper to just hang out... I got a shot with my 35mm... if it turns out cool, i'll post it.
Very Happy

Given the question "Should we take Mommy's or Daddy's car?" the kids choose the Bus over the Camary every time.

I will post a picture of my six pack if i can get them all together on or near the bus. I have my wife, a 13 year old, 8, 5, 2, and 3 month old. And they are all girls. My dog (male) hangs out with me in the garage. "Daddy's bus ",is heard around the house all day long. The girls like to play through my bus when the double doors are open. My two year old likes to sit in it and say "scarry" because i have no seatbelts. I have a bid on ebay for some right now. I'm also always on the look out for a deal on a bus with all seats. for now i have to play favorites.

thanks Taylor. I am thinking one day she's gonna meet someone on her own camping trip in the bus. Then she'll come back home and tell me, "Hey oldman, guess whom I've met at the campout! ...And his dad also posted his picture on that website 20 years ago!"

Just you watch, teach. Your kiddo would be the 3rd-generation vdubbers. The expectation, if any, should be even higher Wink

Lol at the headcounts. Al, get busy! Laughing Miles was conceived on the road, hence the name. My goal is a whole family caravan, each driving something different. So far we're good. If we will be short of busses later on, I know who to call to borrow one now.
