We stand for the National Anthem, we kneel for the fallen.
It's hard to wrap your mind around the sacrifices that people have made in order for us to live in the greatest country in the world.
For that, I am truly thankful.

I served. And many thanks to all those who have served w/ honor. And to those who have fallen, our eternal gratitude.
As a veteran, it irritates me to no end to see the American flag -the symbol of an ultimate sacrifice of countless men and women - get trampled on, burned, so on.
The freedom to be able to say what you want -to include burning it- is afforded to many by those who have laid their lives for it. What gratitude.

Or on the Samba  actually I like Larry David and thought this was funny. I’m a vet and when strangers thank me it feels odd. Sometimes I tell them the truth. I was an 18 year old boy that had no idea what he was signing up for. I’m not above milking a free meal out of it though. I’ve got veteran endorsement on drivers license and I get 10% off at Lowe’s |
