I like, but can’t read the written words.😊 Is there a way to translate and rotate? _________________ 1990 Wolfsburg Carat with new poptop.

I think I want to duplicate these custom cabinets for my tintop.
I wonder how the closet attaches to the ceiling?
My current interior needs a little help...

I have a bulkhead wall right behind my driver's seat. It serves as a terminus for my row of cabs and more importantly it would hopefully protect me from a pile of tools in a collision. It is in the same position as the right side panel of that tower cab. There is a roof cross member right there running side to side. I mounted angle brackets to it and then mounted the bulkhead to them. |

Wow. Nice job!
Do you have any pictures of the table top in "daylight"? _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

I just realized that you did an epoxy river table top on a Vanagon, that is awesome!
I've seen examples of similar tables like this, but usually as coffe tables (it never crossed my mind that the epoxy could be illuminated from underneath, usually the epoxy is colored).
Is the top heavier than using a full walnut top? Any special handling considerations when installing it?

In this picture I think there's a Smev kitchen unit (or similar) on top of the fridge, but I don't see it installed in any of the other pictures - did you install a kitchen unit somewhere or are you relying on a portable (ala Coleman) unit?
One day I'll learn how to create wooden curves like then one on this cabinet...

Yes, that's a Dometic SMEV the owner intended to install. In fact the water pump, propane tank, all water supply hoses, the shore water fill hose everything was redone in anticipation of that SMEV being installed. Hell, my buddy Bart wired everything from scratch, including a switch on the face of the big cabinet (one of the three mounted with the blue lights in them) that directly turns the pump on because we upgrade the faucet and the one he wanted didn't have a handle activated switch. However, when the "client", my buddy, saw the river top he insisted I not cut the hole. Im still not sure I blame him but ....we bought the freakin' stuff and replaced everything..wtf. Not to mention, it's a camper. |

And now you don't get to make that beautiful end table you wanted to make with the cutout... |

Lmao, everybody wanted that piece of cutout because the SMEV is the double burner/sink combo and it's pretty long so, yeah there was gonna be a cool opportunity to make a side piece out of it. I thought we could find a way to make a stowable mini dining table for the Westy since we got rid of the original table. |

Thanks Dan. It's true I am a career carpenter but, no I've never done cabinets in a vehicle before. Now I'm hooked. I have a lot of respect for what Vanagon owners do to restore these amazing campers. |

Yeah it looks great. What finish did you put on it? We've been spraying precat lacquer on our cabinetry for 5 or 6 years now. Nasty stuff but very productive. You ought to be able to do boat cabs now too. For your next custom lighting needs you might look at fiber optics. Easy to use and has some advantages over LEDs, best one being the ability to change colors with a remote. Again good work. |
