It's not a Polar vortex, this time it's an Arctic blast, get your weather doomsday keywords straight

Hey I saw the ad for that, I was considering it, but that rust in the rocker made me put it on the back burner. Is it a project or parts? _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Someone would have to be mighty ambitious for the resto. I just bought it to have and cherish and gut for a bit! _________________ BUSLUST IS NOW IN HIGH SPRINGS FLORIDA!

The splitty is still there, I don't see it going anywhere. I actually tried getting a pic, and did, but I lost it . Well if you get it running and want to get rid of, I'd like to hear what you want since you are local. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

67... here's an idea
Offer welding services and tune up this Westy..trade cash for you and your Dads trip with Busgirl
You get to develop your skills and make thattrip, then get your own Bus off the deadline pressure and make it a high school project
Just thinking out loud. _________________ .ssS! |

Abscate, so your suggesting that I work on this bus, panels etc, to earn money for my dads bus? Not a bad idea! I'd have to run it by my mom and dad though seeing as you know you are all strangers to me (stranger danger!!!!!). If that is what you are suggesting. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Adults will vet adults of course.
Bus people are only dangerous to spousal bank accounts. VW people are more likecTom Hanks, Dr SPOCK ( no, not that one), or CharliecManson. Oh, scratch that last one.
I was thinking you approach BusGirl ( whom I've never met) as a fellow old Lyme Stater and strike a deal where you help get it roadworthy in exchange for the week rent for the eclipse trip with Dad. You guys work out the details of cash-time-materials balance. _________________ .ssS! |

Sounds good, but I think if my dad had it for a week, he'd want to keep it. If we could strike a deal to buy it if she gets it running that would be better. _________________ '67 Beetle L41

Sadly I already have a restoration project that we are working on. My boyfriend and I scooped this one for a reason which is still unknown. Either we will get t running and sell as is, or part out if it's wiser. This things is pretty kicked. If engine runs the repairs would be worth it to the right person wih proper skills. _________________ BUSLUST IS NOW IN HIGH SPRINGS FLORIDA!

Congrats, BusGirl! Good choice of color.
The first features in the pics to catch my eyes were the bumper overriders. And my initial reaction was, SCORE!.
It shows my eye isn't tuned in yet to detect the rust and other problems buses develop.
I've got a long ways to go and lots to learn. *sigh* _________________ -Kent-
