If ever there was a year to travel outside this US , this is it.

The dollar is strong and predicted to get stronger. 20.65 pesos to the dollar this morning. If we cross in groups and drive several hours south to get past all the border madness we should be perfectly safe.
Swimming
Snorkeling
Fishing
Surfing
Beer

Then in the spring we head north. Some analysts think the CAD will go down as low as .65 to the USD.
Once again we can cross the boarder in groups early in the morning then drive all day to safety.
Its the 150th birthday for Canada and they are inviting americans to come check out all of their national parks for FREE during 2017.
My understanding is they have beer up there as well.

It really depends on what part of Canada you were talking about but generallg "spring" to us 'Mericuns usually should mean June in Canada, unless you were wanting to see snow.

Actually our igloos start melting around mid-April. Then we start gathering sleepy penguins before they head north and stock up our larders.
A nice penguin steak with some back bacon on the side pairs well with a Molson, eh?

Yeah! We're headed to Baja in January, back in April, then in north to Alaska in late May through the summer. It's the perfect time to do these trips. The price of gas is down too.

We're Baja bound in Jan. Planning on staying through Feb. Maybe we'll see you down there. Look for the white hightop syncro.

We're heading down there in the next few weeks as well. In Maine right now and plan to start the trek down this week, wash the New England salt off and then get a nice coating of Pacific Ocean salt. We went through Tijuana last year but will be going through Mexicali this time.

Don't drink all the beer or catch all the fish before I get there.

Which bank, Bancomer or Banamex? Banamex is part of Citibank.

I could chip in and wire you a little if it'd help.

You can pay me back at KTAO.

Very generous my friend.
Talked to my bank and they are itching to get money to me.
I dont think I will have any trouble in the morning.
Just adds to the adventure!

Oh good. Post back or PM once your wheelbarrow has come in to dock. And never, ever forget the Al pastor!

See you in Spring. Cool

Thanks for the support guys.
Flush with cash now but not without some adventure!
Now the big deal is the gasoline strike.
Pemex raised the price of gas by 20% on January 1 and people are freaking out.
There has been a run on fuel. Might think about staying here or maybe gonzaga until things settle down a bit.
