I would like to spray the interior of the van with lizard skin and i've been reading through the instructions and it states.

"Silicone seam sealers will need an automotive primer. If it was applied more than 3 days prior to LizardSkin application, then the surface should be lightly scuffed."

So my question is what type of seam sealer was used in the interior of vanagons?

No idea what, if anything, was used as an interior seam sealer. But I did the complete Lizard Skin spray on my Westy without any special consideration of any possible interior seam sealer and it adhered just fine.

They looks like great products, whether the one for insulation or the one for sound deadening.

Truth be told, I've never heard of this brand. Anyone else here from the Dark Ages might like a look:

Ask yourself this;

What will hang on to butyl caulking?
