it's pretty easy to figure out. have you looked at the tech section here and followed the wiring diagrams?
hold the cluster to a light and you'll see what lives where or use a flashlight behind the cluster. _________________

Have the cluster out. Currently rewriting entire Bu using a generic harness with blade fuses. My blinkers never worked before. It look like both indicators flash at the same time regardless of lever position. Is that right? _________________ Central Jersey Volkswagen Socity |

barf....
yes, they flash at the same time. I have worked on 1 bus with a harness like you speak of and it was a PITA to map everything out.
can I ask why a generic harness? a reworked OE harness works fine. in cases like this sometimes new doesn't mean better and can introduce a whole lot of headache _________________

Wiring was an abortion. VW harness was too expensive (retired) I reworked everything-every switch. Harness came with 14 circuits and blade type fuses. Cost 89$. Plus about 15$ in term. And heat shrink. Should be done tomorrow and no more gremlins! _________________ Central Jersey Volkswagen Socity |
