2017 Southwest Colorado off road adventure Aug 4-6

Yep. First time it's let me down in all the years (12+) that I've owned and maintained it. Really no idea what it might be at this point – I'll delve into it once I stop being mad at it. In the meantime, it's safely back home in the garage and we're going to load the gear into another car and try to salvage the weekend. Super-bummed at missing out on the trip with you guys. Hope to see you next year!

UPDATE:

I'm changing the location of the Friday night camp location. It will still be on FR578 but a little past Sig Creek CG. There are several larger sites with in a 1/2 mile or so past Sig Creek which will allow us to have more space to fit all the buses comfortably . I'll be marking the site with a "Bus Stop" sign.

So pass SignCreek CG and look for the sign, should be really easy to find. Thanks!

What a great time! I'd like to thank everybody for coming out and spending the weekend with us. If I remember correctly we had 28 buses and 1 buggy. The roads were good and it only rained for a couple of hours on Saturday. We had a few mechanicals and one bus that had to be towed home. All in all it was a great time with a lot of buses that traveled from 5 different states. Thanks everyone!!!!!

Glad everyone had fun, so sad i could not make it. I did manage to drive my Bus around the block yesterday as a tribute. Thanks for sharing the cool little movie. Great job Rich and Bubba ( and anyone else who helped scout and organize ).

The journey Saturday started with a river crossing, later a great little lunch break!!!!! Tons of fun!!!!!!!!! I believe the busses ranged from 1955-1989- that's 34 years of VW history!!!!!
