I like vehicle-specific enthusiast GTGs. it creates a certain vitality, which makes the event better, and think the organizer's wishes should not be challenged. Agreed that once it's "challenged" thats like a genie that won't go back in the bottle. It's all good UNTIL it's challenged then the event is doomed. Mogfest has some trouble with this. Mogfest is something like 75% Vanagon now (and is a fun Vanagon event!) but has a strange name. |
I was thinking of going to MogFest. I don't mind taking a backseat to Unimogs. It's their GTG and should get priority. Don't they accept any Euro 4x4's? |

I think "Euro 4x4s" was the rule but most of the Vanagons there are 2WD. I think the Syncro folks are not really "appreciated".
It seems kinda "separate". The Mogs are in the upper area and the camp groups down in the field are mostly Vanagons.
The organizer now has a Vanagon westfalia. It was a LOAD of fun. _________________

PNW Mogfest accepts all vehicles of Euro vintage. It is principally a 4x4 venue and syncros were among the first to come to this Unimog event and are still very welcomed. |

There was quite a lot of quad-copter traffic, has there been any aerial video posted? Or did I just miss it in the thread?
I want to show it to a few friends to give them an idea of scale that you really don't get from the ground.

That was fun. That Westafari sure lands nice off a jump. That looks like it was a great event! _________________

While anticipating SyncroFest 2018, I've created a couple YouTube videos from SyncroFest 2017.
One is some cool 4-wheeling clips of Syncros with wheels high off the ground.
The other is a video of our potluck dinner event featuring the fabulous surf guitar music of Matt Quilter.
Were you at SyncroFest 2017?
This video captures over 200 happy people.
Are you in it?
Watch to see if you can spot yourself!
Both videos are at my Syncro Safari YouTube Channel here:
https://www.youtube.com/user/SyncroSafari
Enjoy!
