Repair Manual?

Is there a particular repair manual for VW's that is applicable to the Thing?Bentley? Other? Is there a Bentley for another VW that will work for The Thing just wanted to know what others preferences are .Thank you!

Yes, there is a USA one and a German one. I just posted information about it today on our Facebook page. We also have copies for our members to order.

If you are new to ACVW's buy yourself a copy of Muir's Idiot book and read it cover to cover a few times.

FWIW, I have gotten by for decades with a Haines 1600 Type 1 manual.

I use a Robert Bentley 'Blue Book' that I purchased back in 1977, as well as an 'Idiot Book' that I purchased in the mid 1980's.

For wiring diagram, refer to the Archives section of The Samba.
