HI Guys,

My transmission is giving noise and its getting "louder" recently despite its a newly restored one. Changing the oil would it help? Currently it has only run almost 300 miles .

If changing oil would help , what is the best suggested transmission oil and RGB oil ?

thanks

can you describe the noise?

does it come from the RGBs or from the transmission? RGBs can be VERY loud.

is the noise the same in all gears? at all speeds? does it get noisier the faster you go?

is it less noisy if you step on the clutch say going 40 miles per hour in 4th? RGB noise vs transmission noise?

is it noisy when parked? like in neutral with clutch released? engine running, of course

are you sure it is the transmission and not the fanshroud?

HI Uli,

Thanks for your attention and interest

does it come from the RGBs or from the transmission? RGBs can be VERY loud. Not from RGB. Confirm from transmission

is the noise the same in all gears? at all speeds? does it get noisier the faster you go?
Noticeable at 4th gear . It does not get noisier when I'm fast, my max speed is 50 mph Laughing

is it less noisy if you step on the clutch say going 40 miles per hour in 4th? RGB noise vs transmission noise?
its less noisier during idling when i step the clutch a bit(not full), when released clutch , I'm getting getting back the noise .Possible to be bearing ?

is it noisy when parked? like in neutral with clutch released? engine running, of course . YEs, noisier when parked...when i press clutch a bit, less noise or back to normal, when clutch related, noise is back.

are you sure it is the transmission and not the fanshroud?NOt fan shroud

Sounds like the clutch throw out bearing may need replacing?
