I'm trying to remove the license plate light housings, the black pieces around the lens. Anyone know how to do this is? Appears to snap in and I can't find replacements so really don't want to destroy these. Looks like the underside has a tab that fits into the body

You know, I've done this task. My light sockets were badly corroded and I removed the entire assembly.
They do slide in but for the life of me I cannot remember the details.

Sadly while I tend to take pictures of EVERYTHING that I do....... these rear lenses? I Failed to do so.

You can see the slender attachment tabs on top. Slide the housing towards the van body, then drop it down to remove.

You depress those little arms at the top and slide it out away from the van.
