It's good to have the encouragement from you all!!!

This was especially gentle and generous from our Hawaiian brother....

Much like I said about the paint color. I kinda like the Wrinkles. If it's all consistent...like all symmetrical the way it is... I'm digging it!!

My favorite animal is the Elephant, so I'm kinda bias...

I agree MacJelly! I've chosen to think about it as a big overstuffed easy chair. Very Happy

Today I polished the pop-out, slipped in a fresh rubber and BANG!!!

The visor clips arrived so I installed them with the mirror. I went with an earlier generation mirror and visors because the mirror is chrome instead of plastic and I liked the lines of these visors better that the square functionality of the stock ones.

Fifty bucks for a 20ft roll of automotive carpet and padding at Menards with an in-store rebate. Charcoal. Here's what I've got in so far. There are no wrinkles or bubbles, any shapes are the underlying structure. The edges are clean even without binding. This automotive carpet is flexible and does not unravel where cut. It cuts with a utility knife on the straight edge and easily with carpet scissors on the curves. The camera exaggerates the meeting of the pie cuts, they blend nicely in person. I am really pleased with this. Very Happy

Looks great! Hey Buggeee, you don't happen to have some extra scrap pieces of headliner left over? I need to cover the area just below the rear window. My factory carpet only goes as high as your new carpet does - leaving that horizontal strip covered by headliner. The rest of my headliner us good, I just need enough to make that horizontal strip between carpet and rear window.

Hey Tom thank you! If I did it would be yours but this multiple piece kit was pre-cut around the rear window so there were some scraps but nothing that would cover that area for you, or even close. Sad

Buggee, I'm sure you posted it earlier, but where did you get the multi-piece headliner?

I got it from JBugs. It's a TMI product. Original install (instead of ez install) crushed grain vinyl (instead of perforated). Off white.

Preparing for the carpet and padding installation on the floors.

Fabricated some block-off plates for the foot warmers. I'm just going to use the heat outtlets from under the rear seat, and the two defrost tubes out the corners of the window up front. I want to maximize the pressure out the defrost corners because I've deleted everything else from the dash.

Ran the nervous system for the under seat hidden stereo system. Slathered all the wires in contact cement, slathered the corners along the floor, etc. and pressed it all in place once it set up. Very messy! This should hold the wires where I need them tucked away while the carpet gets glued in.

Buggee, I find the foot heater vents pretty useful. And thats in NoVA, not the tundras of Ohio. Although Ohio winters aren't quite what they were my last time there in '87..... Think

Awesome job! Like the heat block off plates and may do something similar. I'm going with heated seats and maybe a small diesel heater up front.
