Well, I had a problem with a post, which did not show up when posted. But it did show up in the edit box, when I later did edit the post.
text is not be printed when posted
text is shown during edit.
I'm not sure, if I can reproduce the problem here.

Lucky me.
When I remove the url to wikipedia, the text will be printed.
Did I do something wrong?
Not that others than the admins do think I'm fooling with you, press the quote button and you will see my text.

The url tag doesn't like the ( and ) marks in the URL.
I removed them above so it's visible.
You don't need to use the URL tag unless you want to use different text for the link so you can leave that off in this case
Example:
