There will definitely be a football in the future for this bus. There are plenty of deflated footballs available up in my neck of the woods. (Haha)

What's the plan for the roof? I've been seeing those new complete roof skins in Europe. Think

I have a few roof sections from some junked busses that I plan to splice together. That is the plan for now anyway.

That last pic you posted, I remember that very day mine looked like that. Once you get to that place, you'll fly right through at that point.

It reminds me of that part of Fast Times at Ridgemont High when Spicoli and his buds roll out of their bus.

I feel like I got a lot done today, but it's hard to tell from looking. Grinding, fitting and welding. I did get the rear cross member in.

I am going to fix the frame before I fit the top hats. I cut one of the rusty spots out and found this:

I cleaned out the inside of the frame and must have dug out another 20 acorns. I still need to fix the other side, but I'm going to wait until this side is completely done.

I wish they were pistachios. They are acorns. If I had a nickel for every acorn I found in this bus, I'd have enough $ to buy an OG fabric middle seat with kick panel. In case anyone's doing the math, that is approximately 40,000 acorns.

I did get the drivers side of the frame repaired this morning before heading off to work. Winter is now here. It was 12 degrees outside when I left the house.

I am hoping to get the passenger side repair underway when I get home tonight. We will see.

I was able to get some work done on the bus after work today. I removed the rusty frame piece in the passenger side and only found silt and 3 acorns. I am going to guess that the silt is what is left from many antiquated acorns.

I ran out of time tonight. Hopefully I can finish grinding tomorrow morning and move on to the top hats.

I finished grinding this morning.

I then proceeded to wrestle the top hats into position without cuttong them in half. Lucky me there was a huge rust access hole to get them in place. Sometimes things that don't seem meant to be get accomplished with some will power and a large hammer. I am going to put that episode in the past. The top hats are now ready to be welded in. Hopefully I can get some time in this evening:

I’m hoping to get the other three done within the next few days and then move on to the inner rockers.
