This was actually yesterday, although I did drive to Buggy Man today for a couple old bits.
Yesterday it was 38* when I left for the VW Cruisers show in Culpepper yesterday morning. Here's what a working defrost looks like on my '73 Super. Picture's not great, all but one of the lines work. The simple things.

I'm new to this section of the forums, been a bay owner for about 4 years now but always itched for a bug. Got this guy recently and took him to a small local show.

And today (about 100 miles away) I drove my 1970 sedan about 35 miles.
Good VW driving weather in Arizona in October and November.

I took the Bug out for a cruise yesterday. It was clear and sunny with temps in the low 50's. In the background is an old kart track where the local SCCA region held many an autocross years ago. It was a paved mini road course then. It's a dirt oval for karts now.
I put 95 miles on the '73 Bug, on all 2 lane roads, with lots of curves and hills. Many people waving and giving thumbs up. The car ran flawlessly.

Literally the first time I’ve driven it somewhere away from my neighborhood, since towing it back to my house in 2020. A fun drive!
Yes, I brought tools along 😂

Thanks, it's been a journey! Completely rewired, front suspension replaced from hub to hub, brakes completely replaced, new engine, interior was gutted, had to start from scratch. I've enjoyed the process...most of the time.
Figuring out how to afford a paint job for it, while still paying college tuition for one of my kids... _________________ 1975 Standard Bug - Restomod in progress...
