Very nice Rick.

I drove my 1970 sedan to town to do errands, tightened up it's home-engineered engine lid hinge hardware, noticed that my engine (2016 home-assembly after machining, now with silicone oil strainer/cover gaskets) and MoFoCo April 2018 rebuilt transmission are leak free, a first for me !!!

Drove it to the body shop this morning. Had to drop off the Jeep. Oldest kid decided to rear end someone, so.....,the Bug was our transportation. So nice having an extra running car, because my work truck is full. No room for passengers!

Also, that is the closest to a body shop any Bug I have owned has gotten. Scary!

Today I just drove to work, which is no big deal, but last Sunday I drove her down to VW Fest in Crystal Lake, IL. A 200 mile round trip @ 65-70mph. She ran beautifully there and back again. I think she showed well too!

I drove my 1970 today; to the softball field and for errands, 35 miles, up to 70 mph.

A guy in an old Toyota pickup parked next to me at Ace Hardware when I stopped there, asked it was a 1970, and wanted to know if it was for sale !!! Not the first time that has happened !
