Sorry about the slow progress, i'm stuck on a course at work and have even less time to work
spent a few hours at the unit this weekend and started to rebuild my rear RH corner, laborious process but slowly getting there.. im going for strength rather than beauty since noone will see it once the roof lining and corner is back on
finished off the metal in the roof with the tailgate topper part, will need a few more welds and some sealer/etch but i'm pretty happy with it considering i had to butcher alot to get a decent fit..
a much simpler job yet still as lengthy was removing the fuel tank, bloody thing did not want to move but with much hammer smashing she came free... nothing to report, ordinary rusty as hell inside and out tank.. compartment was nice though should come up pretty after a clean and wire brush (Y)
then i just got bored of falling over my bumper so fitted that, i bodged the arch a bit so had to extend one of the mounting holes but its all gravy.
i have a question though.. anyone know where i can find/know the specs of the fasteners 34, 45 on this pic?
going down this friday to hopefully get that corner done. hopefully _________________ 1968 RHD Bus.

35 = bolt, hex head, M6 x15mm.
34 = screw, fillister head, M6 x 17mm (or maybe bolt, hex head M8 x20 - C&C's diagram is a bastardization of the original parts book!) |

Been a while! been lazy and not updated this in a while so here goes...
managed to find an engine..be it with a cracked case..long story short i've got another case and i'm pretty much ready to rebuild it, just need some bits and bobs, and a bit of courage lol
the bus has had a fair amount done to it, mainly on the rear, new tailgate, engine lid, corner stitched on and engine lid rail on..
then and now pic..
major ball ache doing this, absolute nightmare! welded a plate between the roof and D pillar just cant see it in the unorganised pics ive uploaded, still miles to go to finish it off. as you can tell ive gone for just make it strong and work rather than make it pretty as it came out the factory haha
im still thinking about what to do with the gap ive made not cutting correctly, welded correctly underneath so might just take my time and weld bits in here..not sure
some door action, still needs a bit of work but for now itll be fine how ive left it.
oh.. and a cill

so havnt posted here for months, to be honest i cudnt really be arced
got a decent amount done, not massive changes thanks to work but hey ho!
she has been flipped! was emotional but once i sort of got the rear arch in place i just thought fuck it why not (Y)
thats some rear arch action, not finished yet but in place
then some randoms from underneath ive done
and started painting my engine up
so yeah theres a cheeky unimpressive update! see you in 6 month probs _________________ 1968 RHD Bus.

again another late update, things are started to move real quick now, bottom is done and she's flipped back over ready to get finished with the welding.
So far underneath its had all new outriggers, fwd centre frame, both long sections and some random patches.. all then painted in dinnitrol..
still needs cargo floor patch doing but that be sorted while its upright.
final part of the chunky welding done with the drivers rear arch, attempted some paint blending with the original paint hiding under the poo brown

okay so things started to move pretty quick now!
I want to say all the major work is done bodywise so im moving her from work to my house so I can just do bits and bobs every night and not have to stay at work.. im sure thats a mistake and ill find something when its to late..
so over the weekend ive tried to tie off as many loose ends as possible without spending more money as I am officially el skinto thanks to the missus booking holidays (her priorities are all wrong)
took the monster with me one day so we could decide on colours and to test out the old bunk bed..
I wanted to keep it the original lotus white and she wanted 'just any red' luckily I had some Montana red left over from a project years ago and whipped up a side in it... gonna be a pain cause I will have to go down to original white then paint red over it anyway so twice as much work
the bed stayed up and worked with the raised tubs so I was chuffed! after that the help stopped and the iPad came on.
managed to sort the hole above the sliding door, not the prettiest but seal will cover it anyway
started to blend in the rear quarters, just cleaned em up ready for a seal
and other random bits and bobs..
this is the last bit I need to sort..was planning to repair it myself but its to far gone and ill get a repo from al's
something ill do at home..
and here she is ready for a trip!

not much to report, got the 'tax and mot' sorted so I could insure her and actually have it parked on the road.. mainly just been pottering around waiting for time and money to land on my lap..
here's how she looks at the mo..
Had to replace the beam as the old one was shot, looks like the one I got of eBay has been cut and turned so sits lower now at least!
new front shocks, anti roll bar, tie rods, ball joint covers and brake hoses fitted yesterday!
majority of the electronics are sorted now so dash is back in, refitted a bunch of new hub clips, which was a massive ball ache
hopefully this Saturday ill have a day I can just smash some work out on the bus, won't hold my breath tho _________________ 1968 RHD Bus.
