The vacuum advance pot on my 1600 sp with stock vacuum advance only distributor is done for good. Applying vacuum to the pot no longer moves the arm. Are the pots still available and where can I get one? Is there a suitable replacement if the original is are no long available? Currently my engine is running the EMPI 30 pict 1 carb that the PO installed but he also gave me the original Solex 30 pict 2 carb I eventually plan on rebuilding and putting back into service. I can get part numbers of the distributor and pot if needed. Thank you. _________________ 1968 Beetle 1600 SP |

I have a few NOS that work on a 205k distributor- the one used for 30-pict1 carbs. PM me if interested. Casey _________________ 1966 Java Greens |

Thanks for the offer.
Looks like I need more than just a vacuum pot. Pulled the distributor out and found the fiber washer falling out. The advance plate is also a little stiff. Going to have to rebuild it.
Found no identifying numbers on the pot but the distributor is a 205 M.
I also should add the car has been stored away15+ years before I bought it so this was expected. _________________ 1968 Beetle 1600 SP |

I rebuild 205M's. I don't have a core but they are easy enough to find.
PM me if you want details. _________________ Glenn
